Tyrol's Kaiserwinkl region is a genuine Alpine inn paradise. Either get up early and conquer the inns on foot, or look out for one of the countless bike routes. A genuine paradise for active holiday-makers. In the early morning light the Wilder Kaiser and its smaller brother, the Zahmer Kaiser, two mysterious looking mountains, whose beauty will evade no-one. During the day the mountain ridges initially shimmer in a blue hue, then later the flanks look orange. It is this play of colour that makes tours of the "Kaiser's loveliest Alpine lodges" so unique.
A total of 200 km of hiking trails and routes proceed through the dreamy landscape of the Kaiserwinkl, with easy, moderate and difficult tours available in the Zahmer and Wilder Kaiser areas to choose from. Some 30 alpine inns and lodges tempt you in to enjoy refreshments. They will probably entice you to come to the region more often, since you will want to have been to all the inns at least once.
